Lyft becomes the iconic venue's first official rideshare partner. The five-year partnership begins in the Hollywood Bowl’s 2018 summer season. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
The Hollywood Bowl, stage to the most iconic live music performances in the world and summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, has announced its partnership with on-demand transportation service Lyft. With this pairing, Lyft becomes the official rideshare partner of the Hollywood Bowl, marking the first of its kind for the legendary venue.
The five-year partnership begins in the Hollywood Bowl’s 2018 summer season.
“Providing a safe and convenient way for our patrons to get to and from events at the Hollywood Bowl is very important to us,” said LA Phil CEO Simon Woods. “Lyft is very invested in providing a first-class service, and we look forward to working with their team to make the operation on the ground as seamless as possible for our customers. We very much welcome this partnership.”
Additionally, Lyft will sponsor a number of concerts for Live Nation-Hewitt Silva, the exclusive promoter of concerts at the Bowl outside the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
It is estimated that more than one million people attend events at the Hollywood Bowl during a season.
As part of the alliance, Lyft ambassadors will be present at the end of each Hollywood Bowl performance to assist passengers in connecting with their drivers. Lyft ambassadors will also inform their drivers on proper routes to take, as well as the designated drop-off location at the Bowl. And, starting with the Hollywood Bowl’s Opening Night on June 16, a Lyft Lounge will be on site, adjacent to the rideshare pick-up / drop-off area in Lot B, to provide comfortable seating and charging stations for passengers while they wait for their Lyft drivers.
Lyft will also support the LA Phil’s education initiatives by providing credits to support YOLA students and families, music teachers, and national initiatives.
“We are excited to be the official rideshare of the Hollywood Bowl, one of our most visited destinations in Los Angeles,” said Lyft Los Angeles General Manager Allen Narcisse. “Now, drivers have a seamless process for dropping off at the venue, and passengers have a reliable and responsible ride, so they can enjoy the experience.” |
