The news comes on the heels of Shopic’s recent partnership announcement with Shufersal, Israel’s largest supermarket chain, to install its devices in 200 stores countrywide. Based on the partnership Shufersal has also been chosen as the Top Supplier in the “Best In-store Solution” category.
Shopic’s unique clip-on device turns any standard shopping cart into a smart cart for the duration of the shopping experience. Using its cameras and an on-board processing unit, Shopic’s smart cart technology recognizes items being added or removed, displays the bill on a touch screen, enabling shoppers to have a frictionless shopping experience and line-skipping self-checkout.
