Struggles of an Author During the Pandemic
Deming, NM 4/3/21
The pandemic has slowed the entire world down, but New Mexico author S. A. Hoag has taken advantage of it by completing the next book in her series of ‘The Wildblood’. ‘Outliers: Team Two’ is a segue between the first trilogy and upcoming stand alone novels.
‘The Wildblood’ books are post-apocalyptic action adventures, not about the survivors, but their children and the unique struggles they face in an unrecognizable world. They are dealing with problems familiar to us, and ones we can only imagine in the pages of a book.’Outliers’ is more of a personal journey than previous ones, and difficult to write for many reasons. There are hints at previous books and clues to the next ones, plus enough intrigue to keep you guessing. It’s finished now, after a year-long struggle with the elements, for characters and author alike.
The release date of April 15, 2021 is also the sixth anniversary of the first book ‘The Vista’. It will be available widely, links can be found on the author’s website – http://www.topaz08.com and at Amazon in paperback as well as eBook - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B091G22PZK
S. A. Hoag is an author, lapidary artist, very amateur astronomer ("I just look at the stars, I can't tell you their names."), hockey fan, and accidental desert-dweller. Born in the middle of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, she has lived in a number of cities, in a number of states, before crash-landing in the New Mexico desert. Not Roswell, however. Science Fiction has always been her first interest in reading and writing; many other genres sneak into the novels and that's all right with her.
