Architecture and engineering business performance leader PSMJ Resources, Inc. launches annual research initiative that will measure the COVID-19 impact on employee compensation and benefit levels in North America. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
February 2, 2021 (Newton Mass.) -- PSMJ Resources, Inc. announces the official opening of Survey Participation 2021—when members of the architecture and engineering (A/E) community come together to improve business practices and performance by sharing comprehensive, compelling benchmark data specific to the industry in North America.
Thousands of architecture and engineering firm principals will complete PSMJ’s three HR benchmark surveys prior to the February 26 deadline:
• A/E Management Compensation Benchmark Survey, 39th Edition
• A/E Staff Compensation Benchmark Survey, 8th Edition
• A/E Bonus & Benefit Plans Benchmark Survey, 11th Edition
Together, the surveys collect and analyze key compensation and HR benchmark data used by A/E firm leaders when establishing competitive pay scales and benefit plan components as the industry emerges from the COVID crisis and prepares to meet pent-up demand.
“Participation in these surveys is an exclusive opportunity to be a part of critical research for the A/E industry in 2021,” says PSMJ Senior Principal Dave Burstein, P.E. “Establishing these benchmarks has seldom been more critical, given the radically different business climate we’re entering. Every firm’s decision makers need fresh data right now.”
Each survey provides participants with A/E specific data for identifying where pay, incentive, and benefit practices, scales, and rates are too high or too low. “I’m a big fan of PSMJ’s surveys—and the information derived from them lets us know if we are on track or not,” says Robert E. Coons, Director of Finance, Randall-Paulson Architects.
“This is not simply competitive research,” explains Burstein. “This is a way to align architecture and engineering firm compensation and benefits structures with the market, to make smarter decisions and achieve goals as we align with new business realities.”
