Enhancing customers’ attraction to insurance products FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
There are policies issued by government agencies that direct a wave of customers who have been asked to buy a particular insurance products such as Third Party Car Insurance that come with the annual registration of the car. "In a similar context, there are also several insurance products that can provide eligibility for customers to benefit the advantages that some government policies provide e.g. travel insurance", Associate Professor Amir Talaei-Khoei said. However, the later type of insurance products specifies much smaller segment of the market. Dr. Amir Talaei-Khoei argues that this is due to the lack of awareness to the benefits that these types of products can provide to their customers , not only to insure them but also to make them eligible to benefit from the advantages that government policies indicate.
Dr. Amir Talaei-Khoei has initiated a research project at University of Nevada, Reno to deploy Policy-based Awareness Management (PAM) to address this issue. "PAM is a software engineering methodology that uses existing policies as a source to identify awareness", Amir Talaei-Khoei said. Here, awareness is relevance of information to a contextual situation. The inputs for PAM are policies and the outputs are relevant information that should be considered in order to successful decisions in the situation.
PAM has been successfully been used in many healthcare scenarios. |
