MARINA, CA, OCTOBER 20, 2020 – When it comes to the seasonal flu, prevention is powerful tool. As part of Scudder Roofing and Scudder Solar’s initiative to keep their employees safe and healthy, the companies will be hosting a free, day-long flu vaccination clinic for all Scudder employees on October 20th, 2020. The clinic will be held at Scudder’s headquarters, 3342 Paul Davis Drive in Marina, CA.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, anyone 6-months or older should be immunized against the flu every year, with rare exceptions. And with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this season, a flu shot may be more important than ever before. Each year, over 200,000 people are hospitalized with complications from the flu, and during the 2019-2020 season, there were at least 24,000 deaths related to the flu. No one knows what those numbers are going to look like when combined with COVID-19 -- a once-in-a-hundred-years pandemic.
