The DigiGround app development agency has once again been named a winner by Good Design Australia. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
DigiGround has been named the winners in TWO CATEGORIES in the 2020 Good Design Awards, Australia. Our mobile and webapps Oktion and Burrun Dalai Healing Pathways are 2020 category winners. Oktion was named a winner in the Digital Design, Apps and Software category while Burrun Dalai Healing Pathways has won in the social impact category. We are immensely proud of developing both these apps and the target market that it serves.
The Good Design Awards recognises excellence in design and breakthrough innovation. Having Oktion and Buran Dalai Healing Pathways announced as a Good Design Awards 2020 winner is a significant achievement given the extensive application process and high calibre of entries received this year. The winning products must convince the Jury that they are worthy of recognition and demonstrate excellence in design, innovation and social impact.
The Good Design Awards Jury praised Oktion, commenting, “Oktion is a smart and simple solution for charities, schools and non-for-profits to easily raise funds through silent auctions. The design is straightforward, bright and friendly and has strong social impact, making online auction platforms much more accessible.”
Of the Burrun Dalai Healing Pathways app, the Good Design Awards Jury said that, “The jury loved the use of avatars and recognition as a way of enhancing self-esteem to incentivise young people. The project is aesthetically inviting and well aligned to its targeted users.”
Receiving a Good Design Award is a significant achievement given the very high calibre and record number of entries received in 2020. Australia’s Good Design Award is more than a symbol of design excellence - it represents the hard work and dedication of homegrown talent applying themselves towards an innovative outcome that will ultimately make our lives better. These projects showcase the shear brilliance of design and the potential they have to improve our world. |
