FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT

Singapore -- Certification Partner Global (CPG) is pleased to announce that it Corporate Membership of CSA, the world’s leading organization dedicated to defining and raising awareness of best practices to help ensure a secure cloud computing environment. Concomitant with this, CSA has accredited CPG to audit Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) for STAR (Security, Trust and Assurance Registry) Certification.

The STAR Certification evaluates the effectiveness of a CSP’s ISMS, with specific reference to the Cloud and the requirements of its customers. CSPs are assessed to the Cloud Controls Matrix, a vendor-neutral set of criteria that measures capabilities and implementation controls. CSP’s customers can then be assured by the CPG Certificate that their data is being handled safely and correctly, enabling them to be compliant with their requirements.

Building Trust in Cloud Services

Although CPG has provided ISO27001 Certification for over two decades worldwide, the growing use of cloud services, and the compliance risks associated with these, has required specific control measures. CPG provides its Fortune 500 clients with SS584 (Multi-Tier Cloud Security) Certification, the world’s first cloud security standard, and is now pleased to offer STAR Certification as well.

“It is not just to show the end-clients a certificate that adds value, but the assurance that the CSP’s management needs to know that the promises they make are being kept. It is here that we are able to assist our clients with a roadmap” said Sanjeev Gupta, Program Manager (Cloud), CPG, “We have received requests from the Middle East, APAC, and the US, and we hope to work with our existing ISMS clients rapidly.”

“We are delighted to welcome CPG as a Corporate Member and STAR Certification Body,” said Dr. Hing-Yan Lee, Executive Vice President, CSA APAC,. “Especially with its strong focus on cloud security as part of ISMS. Their existing cloud certification clients will benefit from an easier path to STAR,” he added.
