Media entrepreneur Drew K has acquired indie entrepreneurship magazine Maker Mag for an undisclosed amount, announcement came in on Twitter. The official acquisition date is November 29th, 2019.
Drew K is a media entrepreneur expanding its base in independent publishing. Drew K will keep on collaborating with Maker Mag’s existing 80 writers and diversify its revenue streams through novel monetization models.
Since its launch in 2018, Maker Mag has published more than 200 articles about independent entrepreneurship and grown its subscriber base to thousands of readers across the globe. This acquisition will allow Ness Labs, Maker Mag’s parent company, to focus on its core products.
With this acquisition, Drew K is entering the indie entrepreneurship vertical with a strong content library, subscriber base, and social media following. “We are pleased to have found someone who will take Maker Mag to the next level,” said Anne-Laure Le Cunff, founder of Ness Labs and Maker Mag on Twitter.
