Jason Momoa, who rocketed to superstardom in Justice League (2017) and last winter’s Aquaman, Jeff Goldblum, (Jurassic Park, Independence Day), Jewel Staite (“Firefly,” “Stargate: Atlantis”), Sam J. Jones (Flash Gordon), Brian Krause (“Charmed,” Return to the Blue Lagoon), Claudia Wells (Back to the Future), pro wrestler Kevin Nash, Barry Williams (“The Brady Bunch,” “A Very Brady Renovation”), Thomas Ian Nicholas (American Pie, Rookie of the Year) and Samm Levine (“Freaks and Geeks,” Inglourious Basterds) are among the celebrities scheduled to attend the inaugural Wizard World Bay Area, set for November 22-24 at Oakland Convention Center.
Momoa will appear on Saturday only; Goldblum is scheduled for Sunday only; Staite and Nash will attend on Saturday and Sunday; the others will attend all three days. Additional stars will be added closer to the event.
Wizard World is also the home of the most talented artists and writers on the planet. Artist Alley in Bay Area will feature such standout creators as Ron Marz (“Silver Surfer,” “Batman/Alies”), Alexis E. Fajardo (“Kid Beuwolf”), Christian Gossett (“Star Wars,” “Alice in Wonderland”), Andrew Farago (“Batman the Definitive History,” “Looney Tunes Treasury”), Joe Wos (“Mazetoons”), Albert Nguyen (“Age of Ultron,” “Antman”) and more, with others to be announced..
Wizard World Bay Area will feature an outstanding array of programming, live entertainment, cosplay contests, gaming and more. Kato Kaelin serves as entertainment host on the main show stage.
Wizard World events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop culture: movies, television, gaming, live entertainment, comics, sci-fi, graphic novels, toys, original art, collectibles, contests and more. The 14th and final event scheduled on the 2019 Wizard World calendar, Bay Area show hours are Friday, November 22, 4-9 p.m.; Saturday, November 23, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, November 24, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Kids 10 and under are admitted free with paid adult.
Wizard World Bay Area is also the place for cosplay, with fans young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the event. Fans dressed as every imaginable character – and some never before dreamed – will roam the convention floor and participate in the famed Wizard World Costume Contest on Saturday evening.
