LOS ANGELES - Sept. 3, 2019 -- Len Rosen is a two-time award-winning filmmaker based in Toronto, Ontario Canada and Los Angeles.
Rosen’s projects have brought many successes. His first film, "Forgotten Faces” was a documentary on the homeless who live on the streets of Toronto, Canada. It was a very raw look at homelessness and used a unique cinéma vérité style of filmmaking.
Shortly afterwards, his second film was the 2011 award-winning film titled, "Fallen Leaves, Golden Sky". It’s a story of a little girl who left home after the sudden death of her mother and later grandfather. This very unique narrative had no dialogue. It played entirely by facial expressions and physical gestures. It was filmed in China with unknown talent. It won the AWARD FOR BEST SCREENPLAY at the 2011 Monaco Charity Film Festival.
Rosen had a desire to create a music documentary that would showcase the history and contribution of an extraordinary band to the music industry. The group, ”Gravity 180" was just that. It was filmed, directed, edited and co-produced by Len Rosen and marked Rosen's second film to win an award after being screened in Monaco at the 2012 Monaco Charity Film Festival.
Music Videos are second nature to Rosen. He collaborated and directed two music videos that were produced by Pauley Perrette (who plays "Abby Sciuto" on the top rated series NCIS). In addition, he completed directing, filming and editing the new hit tv show, “Celebrity Music Kitchen”, featuring “Pam and Joyce Vincent” from “Tony Orlando and Dawn”, and “The Supremes”. The show will air Fall 2019 on RCN TV, Foody TV, Apple TV, Amazon TV and several others.
While Rosen is always working to create new shows, he is first, and foremost dedicated to his family and friends. When in Los Angeles, you might just catch him eating at his favorite place, “Jersey Mike’s Subs”!
