Highly acclaimed gospel groups to perform on April 6th FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
BREMEN, Ga. – Mill Town Music Hall welcomes the return of Brian Free and Assurance and The Diplomats on Saturday, April 6th at 7:30pm EST. Special guests, Master Peace Quartet, will also perform. Mill Town Music Hall, focusing on family-friendly music and events, is located conveniently off I-20 in Bremen (1031 Alabama Avenue).
Since 1982, Brian Free has been at the forefront of southern gospel music since first joining Gold City Quartet, then moving on to form his own group. Fans have responded to his music by honoring him and the group twice at the Dove Awards for “Southern Gospel Performance of the Year.” Brian Free and Assurance has also made several notable television appearances, including TBN, Gospel Music Channel, Prime Time Country (TNN), Hee Haw (CBS), “The Today Show” (NBC), and the “Gaither Video” series. In the summer of 2014, Brian Free and Assurance was chosen by BBC to represent Elvis Presley’s love of Gospel Music on That’s Alright Mama, a Tribute to Elvis Presley with his arrangement of “Peace in the Valley.”
The Diplomats, based in Carrollton, GA, have been voted “Top Ten Mixed Group” by Singing News Fan Awards in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2014. Led by Jimmy Pearson and wife, Rita, the southern gospel group is known for their upbeat and energetic style, as well as their use of a live band. Several talented performers have joined them on tour through the years, including their son and bandleader Corey Pearson.
Master Peace Quartet is a quartet based out of Dalton, GA consisting of Anthony Patton (lead), Bill Worley (bass), Brian Etheridge (tenor) and Bobby Christopher (baritone). The group released their first single to radio in September of 2018 entitled "You Didn't Throw Me Away." In January of 2019, the group released their 2nd single, "Alive Again."
