The Real Food Academy Café is the newest addition to Miami. The restaurant was conceived and developed by Maria and Arthur Cummins from The Real Food Academy Cooking School.
With minimalist décor, modern, clean and sleek, one doesn’t even recognize the space as the now-defunct Flagler Federal Bank.
• The Café has a menu that goes far beyond your typical café fare., says owner Arthur Cummins. “ We have light fares and healthy comfort food, including the Impossible Burger, which is meatless. “Opening the café was a natural next step. “ We decided that this ( cafe) would be a great way to showcase the type of cuisine we teach our students when they come to a class,” said owner Maria Cummins.
• Indeed, the café is just one new aspect for The Real Food Academy. With the brand new 5300 square foot space, The Real Food Academy offers something for everyone. There are adult, kids and business cooking classes. The space is perfect also to host any party, from 2 -200 guests; anything from a date night to kids birthday party and even a more formal event. “ We just booked our 2nd wedding here”, said Cummins.
• As for the Grand Opening festivities, there will lots of different activities from Cooking demos to a Brazilian Samba dancer and more! With over 250 attending, guests will be given an event passport to navigate throughout the evening. Stations will be set-up with food and beverage samplings, specials and instructions on how to enter for the Grand Prize Drawing.
• Check out The Real Food Academy at The Grand Opening to see that the café isn’t the only thing that’s experienced an extreme makeover. In 2008, Cooking with Kids opened the doors and in just a few short years grew to incorporate adult classes and parties as well; The Real Food Academy as it stands not was created in 2012.
