VEONIO, a digital marketing agency based in Malta, announced today the sponsoring of the charity "Tennis For All". VEONIO's Friendly Business set the goal to "Help awesome people and NGOs in making the world a better place by providing free digital marketing services and websites." FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
The team at VEONIO wants to give back to society by helping people with great ideas that benefit local communities. Tennis For All is lead by Karolina Skorek, who is on a mission to help children from Uganda through sport and education – and VEONIO team members got involved too.
The originator of the mission Karolina Skorek heads to Africa for three weeks with three friends. All the volunteers will be working for Tennis For All - charity teaches children tennis and helps provide them with an education. The mission starts on 12 October in the Ugandan capital of Kampala and will last three weeks. The main duties of volunteering is a tennis coaching and English teaching at a local school. The visitation of a school for the deaf and blind, and an orphanage is also included.
Karolina and her friends’ idea is to raise the money (charity events organized in Malta and Poland) to finish the construction of a community library and skills center in the town of Mpigi, an hour outside of Kampala. When completed, will let children leave their slum environment and improve their reading, get exercise through playing tennis, and learn many craft skills.
The priority of the mission is to help less-fortunate children. Coaching children how to play tennis is primary but the secondary is collecting donations in the form of sports equipment and clothing, educational materials or even cash.
VEONIO rebuilt the website at Karolina's request to help the charity authenticate their trust.
"We are very happy to give a little help to such a big project. We are proud of Karolina, especially that she is doing it from her good heart and expecting only a little smile on those kids faces", said Markus Behmann, the owner of VEONIO.
Anyone who wants to get involved can support the charity giving them tennis equipment and sports clothing for children aged between four and 16. It also needs pens, notebooks, crayons, English-language children’s books, backpacks – the kind of things a child might use for school. |
