Online Destination For English-Preferred Latinos Reaches Six Million Per Month, Continues To Add Strategic Partners FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
La Vida Baseball, the fastest-growing online community for the best in Latino baseball storytelling, will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with record growth and new partnerships beyond expectations from when the digital media company was launched just 18 months ago.
Heading into September’s heated pennant races La Vida Baseball - owned and produced by TeamWorks Media in Chicago - is reaching more than six million English-preferred Latinos per month and generating more than 1.2 million video views per month across all digital platforms. La Vida Baseball is dominating the key male demo of 18-45, making it not only one of the fastest growing sports-specific platforms but also among the largest platforms creating content for English-preferred Latinos.
“There are few more passionate connections in sport than Latinos and baseball, and La Vida Baseball set out less than two years ago to bring great multimedia storytelling to that audience,” said Jay Sharman, TeamWorks Media co-founder and CEO. “The response we have received, not just from fans but from new partners, players, team personnel and the teams themselves, has been overwhelming and we are looking forward to some great growth as we head down the stretch and into the offseason.”
La Vida Baseball content has appeared on MLB.com, ESPN, Univision, and in Bleacher Report and Apple News. It also has expanded its relationship with the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
Looking ahead to September, La Vida Baseball will celebrate Roberto Clemente Day on Sept. 5 and then turn their attention to the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Maria devastating Puerto Rico. In the spirit of Clemente, major league players from Puerto Rico have stepped up and played a major role in the rebuilding efforts that continue.
Following up on their critically acclaimed series around White Sox legend Ozzie Guillén, La Vida Baseball partnered with the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History and The Hispanic Heritage Foundation to host a special event discussing philanthropy through the lens of Latino baseball featuring major league executives and leaders from the Foundation during MLB All-Star Weekend in Washington, D.C. in July. More of those type of events with a growing number of strategic partners are also in the works.
