Studiothink Co-Founder Sherry Jacobi Announced as Surrey Board of Trade Entrepreneur of the Year Award Finalist

Surrey, BC, March 9, 2018— This International Women’s Day was especially significant for Sherry Jacobi, Founder and Creative Director of Studiothink, as she was one of three finalists in contention for the “Female Entrepreneur of the Year” award from the Surrey Board of Trade. This is the second nomination for Jacobi, who is an entrepreneur, leader and community supporter.

For the past nine years, the Surrey Board of Trade has hosted the Annual Surrey Women in Business Awards, recognizing the best and brightest local women for their business and community achievements. This year, the awards ceremony was held at the Sheraton Vancouver Guilford Hotel, with keynote speaker Kim Campbell and vignette speaker Commodore Marta Mulkins, Commander of the Naval Reserves for the Royal Canadian Navy.

After being announced as a finalist in late February, Jacobi was honoured yet surprised, giving credit not to herself, but to the team who surround her:

“I’m extremely lucky to have my business partner, Chandra Blouin, along with an incredibly talented and dedicated team behind me,” says Jacobi, “I strongly believe that success comes from building a team of people who also believe in the direction, goals and values of the company.”

For over twenty years, Jacobi has dedicated herself to being an innovative leader and a successful entrepreneur, acting as both a role model and mentor to women and men in her industry. Her ambition and drive has propelled Studiothink to success, and she is proud to lead one of the only entirely female-owned creative agencies in British Columbia.

The Annual Surrey Women in Business Awards support and celebrate women and their accomplishments, and being recognized by the Surrey Board of Trade is an award in itself for Jacobi, who is very proud of her company, her team, and the other finalists.

Sherry Jacobi and her business partner, Chandra Blouin, co-founded Studiothink in 1997. As Creative Director, Jacobi is hands-on with brand creation, strategy, art direction and ideation for projects ranging from naming and logo design, to copywriting and web design. She leads her team of thirteen staff in all aspects of the creative process— from strategy and conceptual design to production and content development.

Studiothink is one of the largest and most well-established branding and creative agencies in the Greater Vancouver Area. Since 1997, the company has grown considerably in both size and profitability, creating purposeful brands and strategic websites that make an impact, all from the suburbs of Vancouver—downtown Cloverdale, BC.
