Largest Condominium Building in Washington, D.C. Region Has Sold 30 Units in 30 Days Prior to Opening

Just steps from all that National Harbor has to offer, The Haven is the first condominium to be built at National Harbor in ten years

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT

Peterson Companies announced at the opening of The Haven at National Harbor, this past weekend, that the building has already sold 30 of its 248 units prior to officially opening the sales office. The Haven is the first condominium built at National Harbor in 10 years.

Situated in National Harbor’s waterfront downtown, many residences feature water views and large balconies. Not only are the views expansive, but the condominiums themselves are 10 to 15 percent larger than units in the D.C. area.

“National Harbor currently has more than 40 restaurants; 160 shops including Tanger Outlets; seven hotels including MGM National Harbor—a luxury casino with world-class entertainment; and two of the Mid-Atlantic’s largest spas,” explained Peterson Companies’ Senior Vice President of Residential Stuart Prince. “The Haven’s residents will join the 2,000 current residents who welcome the sense of place and community that National Harbor has created.”

The Haven’s residents will be able to participate in a host of activities including water activities, morning yoga and workouts on the waterfront plaza, various special events and community concerts. Just outside of The Haven’s door, residents can walk to restaurants, shops, Fleet Street bars and entertainment. Condominium owners will also have the option to keep a boat within walking distance at the National Harbor Marina, managed by internationally known IGY Marinas. And there are water taxis to take residents to downtown Washington, D.C., Old Town Alexandria or Mount Vernon. The Haven is also within close proximity to the Navy Yard as well as southwest, Capitol Hill and the Pentagon.

Each condominium comes with high-quality finishes, secure underground parking and access to a host of amenities including concierge services, fully equipped fitness center and yoga studio that opens onto a courtyard, a lounge and communal gathering spaces. Groups can gather in an expansive clubroom featuring an open kitchen, lounge seating, flat screens and a billiards table. Wi-Fi is available in all common areas and a cyber lounge provides a convenient location for hours of undisturbed work while taking in sweeping views of National Harbor’s waterfront and the Potomac River.

McWilliams Ballard is handling the sales and marketing of the building. Since Peterson Cos. first announced the project, more than 1,800 people have expressed interest.

Residences range from one to three-bedrooms with prices starting in the mid $200s and going to the mid $600s. “We’re not surprised at the level of interest in The Haven,” said Chris Ballard, principal of McWilliams Ballard. “There are not any places in the region where you can buy a new, luxury condominium in the mid $200,000s and have all of these amenities in the building and available outside your door.”

The outdoor pool features a patio for poolside relaxing and private cabanas. There is additional outdoor lounge seating with firepits, year-round lawn games as well as a gourmet outdoor kitchen. Amenities also include private bike storage, a pet spa and grooming station and beautifully landscaped courtyards.

The Haven will be completed in summer 2018. For more information, go to www.havennationalharbor.com.
