Ashburn, VA -- Willowsford, a new home community in Loudoun County, has gained national recognition for its unique agri-hood and farm-to-table lifestyle. RCLCO Real Estate Advisors just released a national report that lists Willowsford as 18th in the nation as a top-selling master-planned community. Willowsford is the only northeastern or Mid-Atlantic community to make the top 20. Formerly Robert Charles Lesser & Company, RCLCO is known as a national real estate advisory and consulting firm that provides and leverages quantitative analytics. The report, Top-Selling Master-Planned Communities in 2017, lists the top 50 best-selling master-planned communities in the U.S. Sales at Willowsford for 2017 were up 56% from 2016 with sales of more than 473 homes.
“It’s been six years since Willowsford first opened and the community has certainly hit its stride,” said Stacey Kessinger, vice president of marketing at Willowsford. At the end of 2016, Willowsford was ranked 45 on this list, then moved up to 21st and is now in 18th position. “Buyers are learning what we’ve known all this time—that Willowsford is a remarkable community with a distinct sense of place, and unique amenities that all contribute to an enriched lifestyle,” Kessinger added.
It’s particularly noteworthy too that Willowsford achieved this as a single-family community. Most of the other top 20 communities have townhouses and condominiums included. Communities with a varied product mix (towns, single-family and condos) are more likely to have a greater number of sales.
