Leading Play-Based Preschool System Offers $10,000 College Scholarship To One Former Student

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Goddard Systems, Inc. (GSI), the national franchisor of The Goddard School® preschool system, announces today that they have opened up the application process for their 9th annual Anthony A. Martino Memorial Scholarship.

Named after the founder of The Goddard School franchise system, the Anthony A. Martino Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to one high school senior who has graduated from The Goddard School Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten program. The prestigious scholarship honors a former graduate who demonstrates great work ethic, perserverance in education, and a love for their community, which were all qualities of Anthony A. Martino.

Judging will be based on the following criteria: academic record, participation in school, community service, and work experience, along with a video submission expressing the student’s goals and aspirations. Applications must be submitted by March 11, 2017. The finalists for the scholarship will be selected and notified on or before April 4, 2017, then the public will have the chance to vote for their favorite on Goddard System, Inc.’s social media channels on April 17, 2017. The winner will be announced on or before May 10, 2017.

“To date, we have awarded $80,000 through the Anthony A. Martino Memorial Scholarship, which has been as rewarding for us here at The Goddard School as it has been for the students who received the support for college,” said Joseph Schumacher, CEO of Goddard Systems, Inc. “We believe the scholarship carries on our mission to teach and prepare children during the most pivotal years of their development. For that reason, among others, we are more than pleased to continue to support our most promising alumni through this scholarship program.”
