NGO Partners Deliver Medical and Educational Supplies to Hospital Sponsored by
Cameroonian Soccer Star, Samuel Eto’o.

ATLANTA, Georgia (December 15, 2016). – MedShare, an Atlanta-based global humanitarian aid organization, will ship a 40 foot container load of brand new medical supplies, quality biomedical equipment, and educational tools to Laquintinie Hospital in Douala, Cameroon on Friday, December 16th. The supplies will furnish a new pediatric and maternal health wing funded by Cameroonian soccer star Samuel Eto’o’s Foundation.
In partnership with The Samuel Eto’o Foundation supported by Utopia Group, JUMP Africa, and Books for Africa, MedShare will deliver requested biomedical equipment essential for Laquintinie Hospital’s treatment in maternal and neonatal health. This includes infant warmers for premature and critically injured newborns, ultrasound machines, and X-ray equipment. These items will be sent as a part of MedShare’s Maternal and Child Health program dedicated to improving healthcare for babies and new mothers and reducing the infant mortality rate in underdeveloped countries. In addition to this shipment, MedShare’s Northeast region also sent 50 new hospital beds to Laquintinie on Tuesday.
A send-off event will take place on Friday, December 16th at 2:30 PM at MedShare’s Southeast Distribution Center in Decatur, Georgia. Representatives from The Samuel Eto’o Foundation, Utopia Group, JUMP Africa, and Books for Africa will be in attendance. JUMP and Books for Africa will also contribute more than 2,000 books to the shipment, some medical. These books will supply a small library in the pediatric wing of the hospital and be distributed to schools in Douala.
