Orange County BBQ Restaurant Donates Food, Time and Resources Toward Fight Against Breast Cancer

Famous Dave’s Legendary Pit Bar-B-Que® donated $15,000 to the Sept. 23 Orange County Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®. A diamond sponsor for the event, Famous Dave’s also provided Dave’s famous hearty barbecue roundup, including pulled pork sliders, and had six team members participate in the race, in an effort to support the fight against breast cancer.
The 2012 Orange County Komen Orange County Race for the Cure raised two million dollars and will continue towards its goal of three million. Funds raised at the Komen Orange County Race for the Cure will help support local breast health outreach, screening coordination, mammography’s for women in need, and treatment services to underserved women in the community.
