Comedian James Gregory to bring infectiously southern set to Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College in the Greater Columbia, SC area on November 16, 2012.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT

Columbia, S.C. (October 17, 2012): Shirt untucked, arms outstretched, and full of rib-tickling reflections on life from the front porch, comedian James Gregory – known as “The Funniest Man in America” – will perform at Harbison Theatre at 8 p.m. on November 16, 2012. Gregory brings three decades of experience to the stage, performing for sold-out crowds in theatres and comedy clubs across the country.

Drawing many of his stories from his own life as a Southerner, the comedian’s shows are original. They hearken to a time where life was simpler, when cell phones and global warming weren’t topics of conversation at the Sunday buffet. Entertainment Magazine notes, “James Gregory is in a class all by himself.”

Gregory has performed for corporations including the Coca-Cola Company, Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Hewlett-Packard and Kroger. The veteran comedian’s reach transcends his live repertoire, as his voice is heard weekly on syndicated radio shows such as “Rick and Bubba,” “John Boy and Billy,” and “Bob and Tom.” These broadcasts have introduced Gregory’s down-South, infectious comic act to over 220 cities nationwide.

Gregory is sure to bring something different to Harbison Theatre, one of the Greater Columbia area’s newest performing arts venues. Thus far, the Signature Series has featured sold-out engagements by the award winning dance company, Pilobolus, as well as the big band musical ALL HANDS ON DECK!.

Having gotten his start at The Punch Line comedy club in Atlanta, Gregory is able to delight audiences without resorting to vulgarity, which sets him apart from his contemporaries and makes for a lighthearted night out.

Tickets for James Gregory are $28, $32 and $35 and can be purchased at http://www.harbisontheatre.org.
