The Live Well Project raises $9,000 at recent fundraising event

The “Livin’ Well and Laughin’ Hard” fundraising event attracted over 80 attendees

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT

SAN DIEGO – (Sept. 14, 2012) – The Live Well Project’s “Livin’ Well and Laughin’ Hard” fundraising event, held on Aug. 16, 2012, proved to be a success by raising $9,000 for the non-profit organization. The event attracted over 80 attendees for a night of comedy, compassion and cosmos.

The comedy-themed fundraiser, emceed by Carlos Gutierrez and Pierre Charmasson, was held at Bare Back Grill in downtown San Diego and featured headliner stand-up comedian, writer, television and radio personality, Monique Marvez and San Diego artist Kyle Fitzgerald, followed by a live auction hosted by Pierre Charmasson.

“The Live Well Project is all about empowering young women with the knowledge and confidence they need to build strong lives for themselves,” said Michelle Weinstein, Founder of The Live Well Project and FITzee Foods. “This charity event was held to ensure that The Live Well Project will continue to inspire young women in San Diego and, hopefully, across the country.”

The money raised will help fund the fourth annual Live Well Project day on March 16, 2013. The free event will consist of seminars about healthy eating & exercise and yoga, zumba and performance groups. In addition, all participants will receive donations from yoga companies, nutrition companies, local fitness facilities, clothing and sporting companies.

Founded in 2010 by Michelle Weinstein, President and Founder of FITzee Foods, The Live Well Project teaches young girls how to take care of themselves physically and emotionally. The project does this with an inspiring day of fitness, health and self-esteem boosting events to emphasize the importance of health and confidence to young women living in stressful situations.
