New American watch brand Phosphor (www.PhosphorWatches.com), and its latest product Touch Time™, has raised over $250,000 on crowdfunding site Kickstarter, crushing the projects initial pledge goal of $50,000. With 10 days left in the campaign, Touch Time continues to rank among the top products on Kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/touchtime/touch-time-digital-watch-with-touch-screen). Since Kickstarter began in 2009, only 29,758 of the 71,411 projects to date have been considered successful by meeting their goal. Of these 29,758 projects, only 286 have reached over $100,000 in funding, including Phosphor.
Developed by former Vice President at Fossil and current Phosphor President, Donald Brewer, Touch TimeTM offers a revolutionary spin on the typical digital watch, which has been virtually unchanged the past 20 years. It utilizes a touch screen interface with the same capacitive touch screen technology that can be found in Smartphones today, and is extremely easy to use, allowing you to change the time display or select apps with a swipe of a finger. The watches’ sleek design was contributed by Stefan Andrén, an accomplished industrial designer who has worked with Nike, Apple, Microsoft, Samsung, Philips and Motorola.

For $175, backers can purchase a Limited Edition Kickstarter Green Touch Time™ watch with a serially engraved gunmetal black stainless steel case. Phosphor also launched collector’s edition for $1,050. This pledge will allow the backer to select any 10 stainless steel case and silicone strap variations.
