FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
The UK’s leading IT graduate employer, FDM Group, has ranked fourth in The JobCrowd’s ‘Top Companies For Graduates To Work For’ 2012/13. FDM has been placed above many internationally recognised companies Atos, IBM and Intel.
For the first time ever, The JobCrowd has categorised each industry and FDM is delighted to announce it was placed second only to Microsoft in the IT and Telecoms category.
This is the second consecutive year that FDM has been featured in the list, which is entirely determined by employee feedback and experience. Speaking about their time at FDM, one employee said, “The best thing about FDM is the atmosphere and work ethic. There is no competitive thinking – it’s all about teamwork.”
FDM’s CEO Rod Flavell comments, “FDM has achieved phenomenal success over the last twenty years and I believe this is down to employee satisfaction. We pride ourselves on maintaining a sociable yet professional and motivating atmosphere, whilst supporting all of our staff on an individual basis.”
FDM is renowned for its award-winning graduate programme for which one graduate raved, “The opportunities provided for graduates are amazing… it’s a great company to work for.”
Consequently, FDM received an overall rating of 4.56/5 with ‘Company Culture’ and ‘Colleagues’ categories rating the joint highest at 4.9/5.
FDM’s Global Recruitment Manager, Madeleine Field, said, “We are absolutely delighted with these results. We are recruiting a further 1,000 graduates this year alone and this is certainly encouraging news for us.”
The award-winning international IT services provider helps graduates to make the transition from education to employment. In today’s job market, experience is vital therefore FDM’s unique graduate programme combines intensive training with a minimum of two-years commercial employment, with one or more of FDM’s prestigious clients.
Graduates are trained for 10-16 weeks in one of the following service areas: Project Management, Development, Testing, Infrastructure Support or Application Support. Once graduates have completed their work placements, they can progress to become Senior IT Consultants, Trainers and Managers, opening the pipeline for attaining future boardroom employment.
