President Robert Campbell joined several distinguished names in the business sector in the panel of judges of the recent Young Entrepreneurs Award.

Backed by HSBC, the Young Entrepreneurs Awards is a business plan writing competition that provides opportunities for university students to demonstrate their creativity and acquire practical business knowledge. It also aims to cultivate and inspire young people’s interest in entrepreneurship.
Copping the top prize was Team Inspirers for their project Areka leaf tableware made out of fallen leaf spathes of coconut palm trees. It can be used as an alternative to plastic and Styrofoam containers. Ms. Kim Lawrence, coach of Team Inspirers, was a scholar recipient of Bridgestone Global Partners and has dedicated part of her time to mentoring young entrepreneurs.
Mr. Dave Middleton, Marketing VP of Bridgestone Global Partners was excited to offer an internship program to the winners. Additionally, he gave everyone a peek at the scholarship program set to be revised this coming quarter. The new scholarship program aims to cover & benefit more gifted students who are having a hard time or fewer opportunities to make it to college.
