FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
London, 22nd August 2012 - One of the UK's leading Web Search Optimisation agencies, Alchemy Viral, has this week reported its backing of a top UK children's charity.
The Alchemy Viral agency is based in Richmond, Southwest London, and has this week announced that it will promote and support Educating the Children (www.etceducation.org) in its work. Educating the Children performs vital work highlighting the fight for children's education in the Masai Mara region of Kenya in Africa. The charity also works to raise awareness of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and enforced childhood marriages in the region.
Educating the Children was founded after one of the charity's founders visited the Masai Mara. The conditions and practices were shocking, with too many children in classrooms, few teachers, and education denied to many children of secondary school age. The charity also found that lots of girls in the region have to undergo FGM and enforced childhood marriages - sometimes as young as 8. As such Educating the Children was established to focus on educating and empowering children there.
Renowned for being a tourist destination, particularly with those who love safaris and wildlife holidays, Masai Mara inhabitants are nonetheless neglected. Alchemy Viral Managing Director Andreas Voniatis is particularly keen for his company to support projects such as building a secondary school for girls in the Masai Mara.
“I have great sympathy with the aims of ETC. My daughter is just 3 months old. Like every parent in every country I have high hopes for her. I can’t imagine her being denied an education, or even worse being a victim of enforced marriage or FGM”, said Andreas Voniatis.
Andreas says that Alchemy Viral is taking support of the charity very seriously:
“I want to spread the word about the charity’s work. We will be quite overt in our support of ETC to all of the people we communicate with, be it by email, our website, or corporate activities. We are also supporting the charity with what we do best… raising their profile on the web. We have already created a Facebook page for the charity and added a link to our Facebook page. We are Tweeting regularly about ETC and teaching them also the importance of regular publishing and how to earn coverage across the web”, continued Andreas.
Sonal Kadchha, co-founder of ETC, is delighted to have the backing of Alchemy Viral:
“I'm very pleased that Andreas has come on board to support ETC - not only is he contributing financially but his help in increasing our online presence is invaluable given the importance of social media in the world today”, commented Sonal.
Andreas Voniatis plans to visit the Masai Mara to see what impact Alchemy Viral's support has had on the region. Andreas recently announced his delight that one of the classrooms in the new secondary school for girls is to be named for his daughter, Julia.
