After an extensive interview weekend that included a riding clinic on Saturday with 21 participants and coaching and showing at a local horse event, equestrian Krissy Wilson is joining the family at Redwood Ranch. Wilson will hold the position of head trainer starting August 20th, 2012. Redwood Ranch is a premier locale for riding lessons, horse training, boarding and sales.
97 applicants from five countries vied for this prestigious opportunity. After selecting ten candidates, Wilson quickly distinguished herself among those on the short list. Interviewers from Redwood acknowledged her notable experience in training, boarding and sales, plus enjoyed her warm and fun personality.
Growing up on the Hunter/Jumper farm in Atlanta, Georgia, Krissy is no stranger to hard work. She began riding horses before she could walk and never looked back. You could say horse training was in her blood. Wilson’s father is an established farrier in the southeast region with 45 years experience under his belt.
At the age of 10, Krissy began her show career winning countless championships in equitation, jumpers, derby and medals. Turning pro at an early age, Wilson became one of the United States Equestrian Federation youngest rated show judges.
Krissy Wilson has imported dozens of horses and ponies from Europe – many of which have gone on as nationally ranked champions. She has made a name for herself in this industry as an agent and consultant. From the first backyard horse to international caliber horses, she has built her reputation by finding hidden gems.
David and Garry of Redwood Ranch are excited to have Krissy as part of their team of experts. Her flawless character, integrity and knowledge will add an unequaled level of professionalism to the Ranch.
