Ian Gadea recognized for outstanding service to residents and supporting the quality of life for seniors and their families

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT

Vintage Simi Hills of Vintage Senior Living, a family of vibrant retirement communities, today announced that employee Ian Gadea has been named an ALFA Champion by the Assisted Living Federation of America, a national organization serving the senior living field. Gadea was recognized for outstanding service to residents and an unwavering commitment to supporting quality of life for seniors and their families.

“Recognition as an ALFA Champion is a special honor and we are grateful that Ian has been part of the Vintage Simi Hills family for more than a year,” said John Peters, executive director of Vintage Simi Hills. “He displays all of Vintage’s values including compassion, quality and professionalism, and his ability to excel above and beyond his job duties speaks volumes to his dedication to the residents.”

Gadea’s role within the community goes far beyond his duties as a Vintage employee. He recently sold his collection of games in order to replace the missing Wii machine in the activity room. His selfless actions demonstrate how Gadea consistently puts residents before himself in order to support the Vintage Simi Valley family.

“Serving in the senior living field is a special calling,” said Rick Grimes, president and CEO of the Assisted Living Federation of America. “ALFA Champions are ideal representatives of the hundreds of thousands of people who choose to serve and care for millions of seniors in a community environment. Thank you to each ALFA Champion and every big hearted, dedicated person committed to creating the future of senior living.”

Each year, the ALFA Champion Awards recognize individuals who provide exceptional care to residents in senior living communities. Recipients exemplify ALFA’s core principles of accessibility, independence, dignity, and quality of life for all seniors and were chosen for their compassion, dedication, and commitment to resident centered service.
