A digital LCR multimeter that can fit in the palm of your hand, and a pair of ultra-precise tweezers combine to make the perfect tool for any production line, or profession involving the sorting or evaluation of Surface Mount Devices. It is also excellent for troubleshooting and debugging circuits.
Smart Tweezers measure Inpedance, Capacitance and Resistance like general multimeters, but Smart Tweezers aren't your traditional multimeter! Smart Tweezers make short work of evaluating SMD components that lack wire leads. With just a touch of the tweezer tips to the component, Smart Tweezers accurately measures for L, C, or R, and can identify the component underquestion. Imagine the box of unmarked SMDs you have sitting around being easily identified and sorted quickly with just one touch!
This device saves time with features like semi-offset subtraction, where the user can set a predetermined value of impedance to the device. When the component is tested, Smart Tweezers automatically deducts the value from the measurement. Many of Smart Tweezers functions are customizeable with manual functions, allowing certain test ranges, frequencies and parameters to be set for more accurate readings geared toward the job at hand.
A continuity test function is perfect for solving circuits as it warns the user with a tone if an open circuit is present, or if a reading is below threshold. Because of the extreme sharpness of the tweezer tips, Smart Tweezers can test even the smallest component on the most crowded PCB board. These tips provide full contact of the component in question, and produce the most accurate readings. With the automatic component identification, problems can be solved quickly without having to remove components to test.
