The history of the Van Henkelum Family in Funeral Service began with the compassion and commitment of the Coady-Walsh Family in the late 1890′s. They successfully and respectfully owned and operated Walsh Funeral Home located at 99th and Troop Streets in the southwest side of Chicago through the 1960′s. Maxine Coady Walsh was the last in the family to operate this funeral home. After she suffered a broken hip, she decided to sell the funeral home and retire to Arizona. She passed away in 1988. |
