Mission Hospital Among the New Sponsors of the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce Event

As the organizers of one of America’s best and largest Thanksgiving Day runs, the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce and Run Racing are pleased to announce early sponsors of the 2012 Dana Point Turkey Trot: the City of Dana Point, CLIF® BAR, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Independence Bank, Mission Hospital, mix1 protein shakes, OC Dana Point Harbor, StillWater Spirits & Sounds and Vintage Marina Partners. In its first year of sponsorship, Mission Hospital has pledged $10,000 to support the Dana Point Turkey Trot Kids’ Gobble Wobble in its tradition of providing a memorable and enjoyable holiday event for the whole family.
The Dana Point Turkey Trot attracts more than 16,000 participants and fans each year to its 5K, 10K, Kids’ Gobble Wobble and two-day health and fitness expo. The festivities kick off on Wednesday, Nov. 21, with the health and fitness exposition, featuring premium brands and products in the industry. On Thursday, Nov. 22, runners descend upon the scenic Dana Point Harbor for the fun-filled races and celebratory finish line festival. The Dana Point Turkey Trot includes wave starts based on anticipated race times to alleviate congestion, stroller-specific wave starts, and widening of the lane for the finish line shoot.
With more sponsorship opportunities than ever before, the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce is calling for sponsors for this year’s event, including title sponsorship, Friends of the Turkey Trot, exposition exhibitors and race course sponsors. On the heels of one of the largest and most successful races to date in 2011, participation is expected to surpass previous years. Sponsors of the Dana Point Turkey Trot are able to reach tens of thousands of runners, athletes and community members, and millions more through media impressions, while making a vital impact on the Orange County community and local economy.

Named one of America’s best Thanksgiving Day runs by Fitness Magazine, the Dana Point Turkey Trot has become an Orange County tradition, attracting more than 16,000 participants, including friends and family, to its 5K, 10K, Kids’ Gobble Wobble, and two-day health and fitness exposition.
