BLC (the Bristol Language Centre) has recently unveiled its completely refurbished school premises and facilities.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

English language students studying at BLC can now look to their future success by studying in modern, bright classrooms, complete with the latest interactive learning aids.

The new refurbishment at BLC includes classrooms complete with electronic whiteboards, screens and projectors that offer students the chance to study using a number of innovative ways to learn English effectively. The school now boasts two multimedia centres that provide unlimited free internet access to students as well as several break-out areas with refreshments where students can relax and catch up with friends.

The centrepiece of the refurbishment, however, is not so much high-tech as street art. A new graffiti wall that greets students in the entrance hall of BLC has been created by local artists from Bristol’s thriving urban art scene. The wall helps to mark BLC as an innovative place to study English as well as to create a sense of place for current students. Featuring images of famous places in and around Bristol, the new graffiti wall celebrates all that is so refreshingly dynamic about the city itself.

Bristol is justly famous for its lively and creative urban art scene. The unveiling of BLC’s graffiti wall coincides with the publication of Banksy’s latest offering later this month, You Are an Acceptable level of Threat. The new book reveals how his work has developed from the Bristol underground scene to its position today in the rarefied atmosphere of art galleries.

Bristol itself is busy preparing for the fifth annual Upfest in early June, which promises to be the biggest ever. The artistic festival will see more than 250 international urban artists taking over two miles of the city to paint live for three days, creating over 20,000 square feet of artwork.

BLC is proud to be a part of an innovative, creative and dramatic modern English city. The recent refurbishment offers students of English innovative and creative ways to improve their English using modern new facilities. BLC provides English courses for leisure, for university and for business – it is a Bristol English school that is looking to the future.
