FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

National syndicated radio host Delilah will serve as the host at this year’s 10th annual Dream and Promise Awards Benefit to support the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation, a New York-based 501 (c) (3) working nationwide and abroad to help kids with brain and spinal cord tumors and cancer.
Delilah’s soothing voice and open heart reach nearly nine million weekly listeners on more than 200 radio stations in the U.S. and Canada including Lite FM 106.7 WLTW in New York City. In 2011, she celebrated her 25 year anniversary of her program, which is top-rated among women 25-34 years old in many U.S. markets.

The 10th annual Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation benefit will honor Peter C. Phillips, M.D., with the Pioneer Award for Pediatric Neuro-Oncology. He is Director of Pediatric Neuro-Oncology at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

The evening also honors Robert J. Hariri, M.D., Ph.D., Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Celgene Cellular Therapeutics with the Fred J. Epstein, M.D. Lifetime Achievement Award. He has made his life's work the quest to “turn stems cells into medicines,” harnessing their unique and powerful biological properties to alter the natural history of serious and life-threatening diseases.

The Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation was founded in 1988 by a group of parents, physicians and friends to improve the treatment and quality of life for children with brain and spinal cord tumors. Since then, the Foundation has been funding scientific research both nationally and internationally, raising awareness and providing a helping hand to families forced to cope with the harsh realities of this disease. Within the last few years, the Foundation created the only national Survivorship Program specifically for childhood brain tumor survivors. Pediatric brain cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in children under the age of 20.

The 10th annual Dream and Promise Awards Benefit, produced by Charlotte C. Simon Productions, is the signature fundraising event for the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation. Funds raised support the organization’s program and education efforts including its new Survivorship Program and helps fund research to advance treatment and progress toward cures.
