UIC Languages helps people learn a new language from the comfort of their own home - wherever that may be.
 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The school’s unique network of teachers allows students from across the UK to request home-schooling, rather than attending a particular educational establishment.
The teachers, according to a UIC Language spokesperson, will be able to visit students ‘without charging additional travel costs where they are reasonably centrally located. Any travel costs are kept to an absolute minimum.’
Students are initially assessed on their current language skills through an online test at http://www.uiclanguages.com. This is followed by a Skype interview. This process enables UIC Language staff to fully understand a student’s individual needs. The school can then design bespoke courses for those who want to learn a language for anything from travel, to business, to tourism.
Students are able to buy blocks of teaching hours as required, with a minimum order of ninety minutes. Flexibility is a key element of the school’s ethos – virtually any language can be learned in any city. For example, for those seeking French lessons Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff and Edinburgh are all host to UIC schools.
About UIC Languages
UIC Languages is one of the largest modern foreign language teaching operations in London, with more than 300 students per week attending classes. Taught languages include French, Arabic, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, German, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.
In the school’s ten years of operation, it has expanded to include three additional specialist divisions. UIC London teaches English to adults, UIC Vacation Courses provide residential courses for young people, and UIC Teachers helps language teachers find employment around the world.
In 2011 the school won two awards: the 'Innovation in Language Teaching' award from the British Council, and the Star English Language School in Europe award from the Language Travel Magazine.
