The seventh annual Laguna Phuket International Marathon will be held in Thailand this June, allowing runners to race through stunning locales.

The Laguna Phuket International Marathon will be returning to Thailand for its seventh edition on June 10th 2012.
Held annually in support of good causes, the event sees amateur athletes taking part in various race events that allow them to test their physical limits as they run through the scenic landscapes of Phuket.
Marathon, half-marathon and 10.5 km runs are on offer for those who really wish to exert themselves, while a five km community run and a two km kids' fun race are also available.
Registration for the main marathon event costs 3,000 baht (£60.20) when booked in advance or 3,400 baht on the day, with cheaper prices offered for the shorter races.
Aid stations are positioned along the entire course offering water, isotonic drinks, fresh fruit and cold sponges, while all racers will receive commemorative medals and a shot at the winners' trophies.
Accompanying events include an expo and a pasta party on the eve of the race, while proceeds from the marathon will go towards the creation of a mobile library to improve literacy across Phuket and Phang Nga.
