Top Filipino Ultimate teams will be travelling to the Manila region this May to take part in the first Annual National Championships.

Visitors to the Manila region will be able to see top practitioners of disc-based sports competing in the Ultimate Annual National Championships this May.
Organised by the Philippine Ultimate Association, the event is taking place for the first time on May 26th and 27th 2012 and aims to become the premier local Ultimate tournament in the country, with 16 top teams set to compete.
Also known as ultimate Frisbee, the sport is popular across the Philippines, with eight teams travelling from Luzon, as well as four each from Visayas and Mindanao.
Confirmed participants include Boracay Dragons, Davao Mulatto and Acidus, with this year's event working on an invitational basis, ahead of the introduction of qualifying rounds from 2013 onwards.
The championships will be held at the Alabang Country Club, a leading sports venue located at Ayala Alabang Village in Muntinlupa City.
It features facilities for golf, polo, swimming, bowling, tennis and badminton, as well as a restaurant and a ballroom.
