Publishers, retailers and literature lovers will be flocking to Book World in Prague next month.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
Book World Prague, the Czech Republic's biggest annual literary event, returns for its 18th edition on Thursday May 17th.
The four-day book fair traditionally attracts more than 40,000 visitors to the Prague Exhibition Grounds each year, with approximately 400 exhibitors expected to attend the 2012 event.
Book World is aimed at both industry figures and members of the public, as booksellers, publishers and agents mix with lovers of literature from around the world.
As well as the chance to browse through thousands of books, the event offers a programme of specialist seminars and conferences that runs alongside the main fair.
Romania has been named guest of honour at this year's Book World, which means the organisers will focus on promoting the literature of the country and the Black Sea region to visitors.
There will also be a special spotlight on comic books, with several authors taking part in discussions of the genre.
General admission is priced between 50 and 120 Czech koruna (£1.60 and £3.90).
Book lovers will find an array of recommended Prague hotels at LateRooms.com, including the Charles Bridge Residence.
Located next to one of the city's most famous landmarks, this hotel offers affordable accommodation in the heart of Prague.
