Hong Kong will be the venue for the first ever Spoon Art Fair, an event showcasing the work of young and talented artists, from May 18th to 20th 2012.

Up-and-coming international artists are to see their works exhibited at a new event called the Spoon Art Fair, which will be held in Hong Kong from May 18th to 20th 2012.
Organised by KS Art Company, the event aims to showcase interesting pieces from young and talented people in a setting that makes them relatable to the average viewer.
To this end, the venue for the fair is Hong Kong's Grand Hyatt hotel, with exhibits to be presented in 56 rooms on the 14th and 15th floors in order to show how they would look in everyday settings.
More than 40 leading international galleries will be contributing pieces to the show, including art institutions in Japan, China, Korea, Spain and the US.
The show runs from 16:00 to 20:00 local time on the Friday and from 12:00 to 20:00 on the Saturday, with final admissions coming one hour before closing time.
Tickets are available for HK$100 (£8), with 50 per cent reductions offered to students with valid IDs.
