Leslie C. Bethel has been named Chief Operating Officer of RAV Bahamas Ltd., developers of the multi-million dollar Bimini Bay Resort & Marina and Rockwell Island Estates
NORTH BIMINI, THE BAHAMAS – APRIL 2012 – Leslie C. Bethel hasbeen named Chief Operating Officer of RAV Bahamas Ltd., developers of the multi-million dollar Bimini Bay Resort & Marina and Rockwell Island Estates a new Luxury Residential and Resort community located in North Bimini, The Bahamas.
“I’m am excited to take on these additional responsibilities in helping to shape the strategic direction, enhance operational efficiencies and drive revenue growth to RAV’s various business units,” said Bethel. “Leslie’s existing contributions and broad background working with high-end, service-oriented companies within the areas of hospitality, real estate, transportation and marketing, combined with his deep-rooted understanding of Caribbean business development, makes him an ideal complement to the leadership team at RAV Bahamas,” said Rafael Reyes, Managing Partner.
Bethel, whose roots are Bahamian, brings years of management expertise and experience in strategic sales and marketing, a deep familiarization in organizational performance improvement and great enthusiasm to his new position. In his new post, Bethel will oversee all aspects of RAV’s hospitality businesses, including strategic planning, public relations initiatives, financial operations as well as the company’s global sales and marketing efforts. Bethel was most recently Managing Director of Notarc Management Group where he led operations and strategic direction for this US based professional services management organization.
Prior to that, Bethel held various management positions in the fields of marketing and hospitality including Vice President of National Accounts for Galactic Marketing in Arlington, TX and Sales Director for Resort Marketing, Inc., in Miami, FL and The Myers Group in Nassau, The Bahamas. Bethel began his career in the hospitality industry at a young age in various operational positionswithin companies such as Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Carlson Hospitality, Carnival Hotels & Casinos and Trust House Forte.
Bethel holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Business Administration from Northwestern, St. Paul, MN and splits his time between Miami, Florida and The Bahamas.
