Award-winning price comparator raises more than £5,000 in aid of UK homeless charities

07 APRIL 2012 – Award-winning car hire price comparator Carrentals.co.uk has announced that it has raised a grand total of £5,662 through it's ‘Book & Donate’ scheme. The ‘Book & Donate’ drive was held to generate funds for StreetSmart projects, which consist of education, training, health and housing projects for the homeless via over 90 homeless charities in 19 cities around the country.
In addition to the 'Book & Donate' charity drives the website also ran a ‘12 days of Christmas’ campaign at the back end of 2011 from which the £700 prize value was donated on top of the money raised by ‘Book & Donate’, total £2,131. The Carrentals.co.uk donations will be matched by the government meaning StreetSmart will benefit to the tune of £5,662.

StreetSmart conducts fundraising pushes every November and December in partnership with leading UK restaurants such as Nobu, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. Each restaurant adds a £1 supplement to diners' bills which is all donated to StreetSmart.
