Wilson College will host the monthly meeting of Franklin Renewable Energy (FRE), an association dedicated to educating and informing the public about renewable energy, at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 9, in Warfield Hall’s Allen Auditorium.

There will be potluck desserts and snacks at 6:30 p.m. followed by the program at 7. The meeting is free and open to the public.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Wilson College will host the monthly meeting of Franklin Renewable Energy (FRE), an association dedicated to educating and informing the public about renewable energy, at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 9, in Warfield Hall’s Allen Auditorium. There will be potluck desserts and snacks at 6:30 p.m. followed by the program at 7. The meeting is free and open to the public.

This meeting will focus on financing options for upgrading home energy systems. Speakers include Bob Moser and Duane Bock of First National Bank of Mercersburg, who will discuss local financing options and considerations; and Ken Yeager of AFC First (Allentown), who will talk about Pennsylvania’s Keystone Home Energy Loan Program (HELP). Yeager will answer questions about who is eligible for the program, who is allowed to perform the work, what improvements are eligible and how to apply for a HELP loan.


Franklin Renewable Energy is being hosted by Wilson’s Fulton Center for Sustainable Living to provide information and a forum for discussion about such subjects as renewable energy production, energy efficiency and sustainable living through monthly meetings, educational seminars and energy fairs like Wilson’s popular “Energy and You” workshops.
