Technology Services Provider Verifies Data Colocation System Under New Standard
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. – April 3, 2012 – Tekcetera, Inc., an Orange County-based technology services company that provides infrastructure solutions, cloud services, managed services, Microsoft specialty consulting, Avaya and Cisco telecommunications, web design, ecommerce solutions and more to businesses large and small, is pleased to announce that its control procedures related to the operating effectiveness of its Datacenter Colocation System have been verified in an examination under the terms of the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 16 (SSAE 16) by independent accounting firm, Harrell and Widener, LLC.
“We are committed to ensuring that our operating procedures and controls meet or exceed the highest industry and regulatory standards possible,” said John S. Pitts, president and founder, Tekcetera, Inc. “The verification of our Data Colocation System further confirms our dedication to not only providing best in class services with absolute transparency, but also simply making sure that our clients’ technology works, every time.”
SSAE 16, developed by the Auditing Standards Board of the American Institute of Public Accountants, replaces the Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70. Implemented to review service organizations’ control processes, SSAE 16 was formally announced and issued in April 2010. By completing the SSAE 16 review, Tekcetera now has the ability to provide outsourced technology services for public companies, access auditors year-round as a business resource, confirm that controls and activities are functioning appropriately and improve overall performance of the organization. Tekcetera’s assessment included an overview of organizational and administrative controls; human resource controls; and green energy and conservation controls, as well as an evaluation of change management; data, network and logical security controls; physical and environmental security controls; and computer operations.
