To celebrate BioProcess International’s 10-year anniversary and recognize the outstanding products, services, partnerships and people that have had the greatest positive impact on Upstream Processing, Downstream Processing and Manufacturing, BioProcess International has created the 2012 BioProcess International Awards: Honoring A Decade of BioProcess.
Four awards will be granted for each of the three pillars of bioprocessing (Upstream Processing, Downstream Processing and Manufacturing):
* Technology of the Decade (supplier-based)
* Technical Application of the Decade (end-user based)
* Collaboration of the Decade
* Thought Leader of the Decade
Awards Timeline
* March 30, 2012: Nominations close
* May 1, 2012: Three finalists for each award announced to industry
* June 20–21, 2012: The BPI Theater  BIO featuring The 2012 BioProcess International Award Finalists
* June 20, 2012: The Decade of BioProcess Supplement published in print, BPIMobile, and online
Suggested technologies to consider nominating people or products for include:
* Upstream Processing: fermentation, cell culture, single-use, production platforms, expression systems, outsourcing, validation
* Downstream Processing: separation, purification, filtration, stability, virus removal
* Manufacturing: forumulation, fill, finish, outsourcing, facility design, logistics, global distribution, international production
