St. John Lutheran Joins Lutheran schools across the country to celebrate Christian educational ministries.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
Indianapolis, Indiana, March 2nd, 2011… St. John will join with other Lutheran early childhood, elementary and high schools to celebrate National Lutheran Schools Week from March 3-11, 2012. There are currently 945 Lutheran elementary schools serving over 107,000 students in grades K-8. We thank God for this opportunity and praise Him for His blessing of our Christian educational ministry since 1852.
Among the reasons congregations have given for supporting a Lutheran School are to nurture faith, to teach children to grow in grace and knowledge, to teach the Word, to communicate and establish Christian values, to equip children for a life of Christian service, and to use the educational ministries to reach out to the others with the Gospel.
St. John invites the community to join in worship on March 3 and 4 as they celebrate Lutheran Schools Week with their ministries:
Little Wings Childcare, St. John Lutheran School, Lutheran High School of Indianapolis
Saturday, March 3 - 6:00 PM
Sunday, March 4 - 8:00 AM, 10:25 AM, and 10:45 AM.
Services will include testimony from some of the school parents, selections by school choirs, special prayers, and recognition of the teaching staff.
Please join St. John in worship on March 10 and 11 as Lutheran Schools Week concludes with a very
SINGER/MUSICIAN DAVID BRITTON TO SHARE GOSPEL IN WORD AND SONG.
