Orthodontics specialist Dr. Jennifer Eisenhuth reminds parents of San Diego pediatric orthodontics patients that National Children's Dental Health Month is coming up.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA - "National Children's Dental Health Month is coming up.", a San Diego pediatric orthodontics expert Dr. Jennifer Eisenhuth said. This event is sponsored by the American Dental Association. This year's slogan is "Rock Your Smile."
This campaign brings thousands of dental professionals, health care providers and others together to promote good oral hygiene to kids, according to the ADA organization. Hygiene is especially important for those in braces because it can affect the treatment plan.
Crooked teeth allow hiding spots for food and plaque, which is why braces helps reach the goal of healthy teeth.
"Proper oral hygiene habits and routine dental check-ups help push kids in the right direction of healthy teeth and gums," says Dr. Jennifer Eisenhuth, an Invisalign provider.
Also, Invisalign is a great choice for teens and adults. It allows them the freedom to brush and floss easier. Invisalign trays can be taken out to brush and floss. On the other hand, conventional braces can be a challenge to clean.
Eisenhuth recommends brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste and a soft bristled brush then flossing at night with floss threaders.
