IRVINE, Calif. – Feb. 3, 2012 – Responding to the need for an innovative, safe and affordable treatment option for osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee, VQ OrthoCare® will exhibit its award-winning BioniCare® Knee System at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ (AAOS) Annual Meeting this February. In October 2011, a study featuring the BioniCare Knee System was published in Rheumatology News. The 20-month long study, conducted by VQ OrthoCare to analyze treatment options for OA of the knee, concluded that patients with OA who combined BioniCare with the OActive knee brace saw a substantial improvement of knee functionality in a shorter amount of time than patients who used either treatment option separately. The study confirmed that the combination proved to be 37 percent more effective than BioniCare alone and 39 percent more effective than the brace alone.
