Absolutely nothing according to New Age piano teacher Edward Weiss

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New Age music ... it's been soothing and helping people relax now for over 4 decades. But it doesn't get much respect. At least that's according to piano teacher Edward Weiss.

Weiss teaches an online course that promises to show beginning adults how to create their own peaceful 'pianoscapes.' And while you'd think his business would be either slow or dead, it isn't. In fact, it's thriving.

Weiss remarks:

"So many people would just love to sit down at a piano or keyboard and create something that sounds like music without having to read off of sheets. My online piano lessons allow for this by using a chord-based approach. Plus, the New Age style is perfect for those who need stress relief and a way to get creative."

The course Weiss references now has over 1000 subscribers and over 140 lessons. Students pay a small monthly fee to access everything on the site.

As far as people making jokes and laughing at this eclectic style of piano playing, Weiss says this:

"Everyone I know has at least one soothing New Age CD in their collection. And why not? It's a beautiful style of music that millions appreciate on a daily basis. Besides, most of the criticism for this style of piano playing comes from the classical music world where everything has to be note perfect. The New Age style of piano playing focuses more on the joy of process."

Weiss is currently giviing away a free piano lesson titled 'Summer Morning' at his website. The lesson promises to show beginning adults how to improvise their own music in the Key of C Major. The lesson can be found at http://www.NewAgePianoLessons.com
