FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

As online shopping continues to surge upwards Miller Homes has noticed an increase in visitors to its website over festive periods.

After weeks of trawling through stores and shopping for others, recent research has shown that during the festive break, there is a spike in internet usage. Boxing Day saw e-retail sites reach record levels with Britons spending 13m hours shopping online, according to Experian Hitwise. Up by 19.5% on the same day in 2010, Boxing Day 2011 is said to have been the single biggest shopping day ever in the UK. With great deals clearly the main reason for the increase, savvy consumers are also looking at other types of purchases such as new homes.

“We have seen a huge increase in buyers utilising the internet to research properties and developments prior to visiting our sales centres,” commented Jan Hanaby area sales manager Miller Homes Yorkshire. “Recently, Miller Homes has also seen its first complete internet purchase take place with the proud new owners seeing their new home for the first time on moving day!”

Award-winning house builder Miller Homes features all of its twelve Yorkshire developments on its website along with property types, availability, floor plans and images, prices and purchase initiatives enabling buyers to make informed decisions on their prospective new home.

Michelle Robinson, who purchased a Miller Home in the North East, was relocating from the Middle East with her husband’s job and due to time constraints conducted the entire purchase process on line.

“I did a lot of research online on the Miller Homes website and came across the development (The Pastures in Darlington) which seemed to be perfect,” said Michelle. “I have found Miller incredibly helpful to deal with and everything turned out to be great.”

“There is no reason why you can’t source your new home over the internet and read all about our lovely developments and purchase initiatives designed to help a variety of buyers,” commented Jan. “Remember too that all our contact details and opening hours are detailed there too so should you need to give us a call or pay us a visit you can easily find out how to do it.”

With twelve developments located across the region there is a diverse mix of developments and properties ranging from smaller rural developments to larger ones close to the major cities within the region. Properties include stylish one and two bedroom apartments and three, four and five bedroom houses in a variety of styles and layouts ensuring there is plenty of choice to suit individual requirements.

Properties are available from £77,500 for a one bedroom apartment or if a five bedroom luxury home is what you’re looking then you could pay from £325,000.
