One of the biggest cricket competitions in the Australian calendar is this coming February set to bring hundreds of fans from all over the country to Alice Springs.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
The news has prompted online hotel room booking website DirectRooms.com to advise people to book an Alice Springs hotel in advance if they are travelling there.
The Imparja Cup Northern Territory Cricket Tournament is a Twenty20-based cricket tournament which has been in existence for more than 15 years. The competition is a limited overs format which makes for an exciting cricket competition for fans to enjoy.
The Imparja Cup Northern Territory Cricket Tournament only allows native Australians to enter and the competition has built up a loyal fan base over the years. The reigning champs are Queensland, and they will be in place to defend their title between February 5th and February 11th 2012.
Fans regularly turn out in their thousands at the competition, with many travelling from across the other side of Australia to enjoy the fun. With that in mind booking a hotel room prior to arrival is a must.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head of DirectRooms.com, says, “Cricket is one of the biggest spectator sports in Australia and this tournament is a real favourite. Alice Springs is a big destination for tourists in February as it is, so with the Imparja Cup on as well the local accommodation is going to be more booked up than usual.”
